If this page doesn't answer your questions, get in touch with us directly thru the
email link below, and include pictures if you can. Thanks for Reading, -Joe-
Should I Buy New or Re-upholster? Is it worth it?: Re-upholstery has 2 costs:
fabric, & labor. Labor's easy to estimate; a wingback, armchair, recliner or
sofa takes so many hours. Fabric's different: All fabrics aren't the same price.
The one you want might cost $25/yd., or $125/yd., or more. With a "discount"
fabric($10-12/yd), you might spend $500-$600 on a wingback, or armchair;
$1500-$2000 on a sofa. If those numbers seem high to you, replace, don't
re-upholster.
How Do You Charge? How Much Will It Cost?: We charge by the piece. The
charge is based on time, materials and our experience. Prices are posted on the
site, under the pictures on its pages. Remember, our estimate won't include the
cost of fabric.
Do We Have to Buy Your Fabric?: No. In fact, at present, we're not selling
fabric. Our charges are for the labor & materials necessary to complete the
job. We recommend you visit EconoSales in Springfield, and B&H Upholstery
Supply in Eugene for excellent fabric selection and value.
Do You Do Repairs & Refinishing?: Yes, but only on pieces we'll be
upholstering. We include minor repairs & touch-ups in our price. We can
restore exposed wood, replace parts, and would prefer you let us re-glue the
frame.
Do You Do Restaurants?: Yes. We re-upholster booths, stools, & chairs, and
build new restaurant seating.
Will You Upholster What I build?: Yes. Talk to us before you start building.
We can save you some time and headaches.
How Long Will It Take?: Pieces average 2 weeks in the shop. But, it might be
2-6 weeks before we get to your project. We schedule work as it comes in.
Can I pay with a credit card?: We can accept credit cards through Paypal.
Otherwise,we accept cash, & checks with ID.
How Much Do You Charge for a Pickup Seat?: We don't do auto upholstery.
Do You Re-use the Old Stuffing?: Rarely. Old hair & straw have no historic
value. If you're happy with the feel and the look, we'll keep it that way.
Otherwise, we replace everything that needs replaced, and use modern
materials for comfort and appearance.
I'm looking for...?, I want to sell: We buy & sell interesting pieces of furniture.
Look at the FOR SALE page, or email your wants. Selling? Send us a picture &
a price. We'll get right back to you.
How Long Have I Been in Business?: 35 yrs; over 20 yrs. in Lane County. We
have a reputation, a shop you can visit, work you can inspect, & references you
can meet.
